here some more things good to know:
|
Dogs shouldn't eat bones because of the possibility of violation.
That is just half the truth. Only cooked or baked bones are
dangerous, raw meaty bones break into rounder pieces. Our dogs
are mad about fresh chicken wings and never had a problem to
deal with them. If you are still unshure, you can buy meat and
bones chopped and ready to give at a good dog food store.
|
| Raw chicken may contain salmonella. That's right, but the
gastric acid of dogs is very agressive and the remaining time of the food is
quite short. So salmonella has got no chance.
To mention is, that also pigs may be infected with salmonella. Many dog
owners give dry pig ears or noses as goodies. On one hand these things
are very fatty and on the other hand sometimes not properly enough heated to
kill all viruses. But you can buy that crub without any warning.
|
|
Meat of pigs you shouldn't give at all, because it may contain the
Aujeszky-virus. The last known case of infection in Germany was in the year
2000, but it exists no therapy and the virus is lethal for a dog. So better
hands off.
|
Raw meat may course dogs to be agressive.
Bullshit. Bad education an stupid people make dogs to be agressive,
nothing else but that.
|
|
You can hear about dog ownwers feeding their animals with
vegetarian food. How long it works and what the consequences are
- no idea. Don't abuse your dog in experimental feeding.
That is neither ethical nor biological bearable. Buy yourself a
rabbit.
|
Chocolate is pure poison to dogs. It contains theobromin, a
substance similar to coffein. Not dangerous to humans, a dogs
organism can't manage this substance. You can kill a dog of 7,5
kg with round about 50 g of dark chocolate. It's an absolute no
go.
